Podcast or YouTube?

In the past I haven't had much success with podcasts. My children have done some school projects which I was told I could listen to. I was never able to figure it out. Now I have a much better understanding and actually listened to some during this assignment. Quite the accomplishment!

YouTube has definitely provided some fun times at our house. We have had many laughs over some crazy videos. We didn't realize that there is so much more to YouTube than funny videos.

I'm probably more likely to use YouTube over podcast because I am more of a visual person.

I thought I would have to spend some time looking for a funny video on YouTube. I am a dog lover so I thought I would start there. After about 10 minutes I realized that the first video I watched made me laugh the most, so here it is.

Bloglines

Using Google Blog Search was ok. I really had to narrow down a specific topic to search. I didn't want just any old library blog. I spent more time looking for blogs than I did learning what RSS Feeds are and opening my Bloglines account. I will probably use Bloglines. It's handy to have the sites I'm interested in at one location and to be able to view only the ones that have been updated.

Blogging is all new to me. In the past if I were searching for something in Google I would somehow end up in a blog. Never really sure where I was I just exited out of it. I felt as if I were somewhere I shouldn't have been. Now I am realizing the benefits of blogs and look forward to taking advantage of this technology.



As I created this blog I was amazed at all the cool things that I can do. I was very nervous about starting out so I took a look at some of the other blogs to get a better idea of what they looked like. I'm looking forward to adding a picture and other personalized things to my blog when time allows.
